Why Are Women Never Enough?

Food, Control, and the Making of the Ideal Body

Two-Part Live Lecture Series | Guftagoo by Zaikanama

23 & 24 May 2026 | 4:00–5:30 PM IST | Online

Registration

Thinness has returned, not loudly, but as a quiet expectation.

It appears in how we eat, how we speak about food, and in the ways the body is asked to take up less space.

What feels immediate is not new.

About the Session

This two-part series examines how ideas of thinness, control, and desirability are produced across time, through everyday practices, moral frameworks, and cultural expectations.

Rather than offering prescriptions, the sessions are structured as a space for discussion, reflection, and critical engagement.
